welcome to green skies
A platform exploring the bold intersection of aerospace engineering and environmental science.
Built for curious students, future engineers, and anyone who looks up at a contrail and wonders what it costs the planet, Green Skies dives into how the aviation industry is being reimagined for a sustainable future.
At Green Skies, we believe the next generation of flight can be cleaner, smarter, and just as awe-inspiring.
Here's what you can expect from us

Featured Episodes

The True Cost of a Flight
Explore how the aerospace industry measures carbon emissions across manufacturing, fuel consumption, and airport operations. This episode examines why aviation’s climate impact is more complex than simply counting passenger miles.

Electric Planes?
Examine why electrifying aircraft is dramatically harder than electrifying cars. This episode breaks down energy density, battery weight, and which types of aircraft may realistically go electric first.

Supersonic Flight Returns
Investigate the new race to revive commercial supersonic travel decades after the retirement of the Concorde. This episode examines sonic booms, sustainability concerns, and whether faster travel is worth the environmental cost.

About the founder
Kaden
Chang
Planes, drones, engines, anything that flies or moves: Kaden wants to know how it works and how to make it cleaner. Kaden is training for his private pilot's license with a long-term goal of designing aircraft that limit harm to the environment.
When he's not in the cockpit, he's playing violin (nine years and counting), counseling campers at Camp Ondessonk, or out golfing, hiking, and mountain biking with friends.
